Are these the same size? All three are bath towels. Brooklinen (30″ × 58″) and Onsen (31″ × 57″) are very similar in size; Coyuchi (27″ × 54″) is smaller. This is a comparison of available bath-towel options, not a controlled same-size drying test. GSM measures fabric weight per square metre; grams measure the weight of the whole towel.
Disclosure: Island & Sage is our sister brand, created by Palm & Sage Studio. We earn from its sales. These towels have not been tested side by side in tropical conditions.
Choose this if: you want less fabric weight and an open, textured feel instead of a bulky towel.
The lightest fabric per square metre here. Brooklinen describes it as quick-drying, but that is a manufacturer claim—not a measured tropical drying time. Waffle feels different from fluffy terry.
Offer: US$89 for two bath towels, or US$44.50 each before shipping. White was available when checked. No sale discount has been assumed.
Review check: Shop displays 4.5/5 from 1,234 ratings for the two-bath-towel listing. The Spruce also reports positive long-term use. Ratings and individual experiences are not a tropical drying-time test.
See the 2-towel offer at Brooklinen ↗Why consider it for damp towels? Its open waffle weave is designed to let moisture evaporate between uses. The brand’s displayed verified-buyer feedback includes reports of quick drying and less musty smell.
Offer: US$105.90 for two bath towels, against US$118 when bought individually. The page also offers an individual towel. Delivery is listed for the contiguous US and Canada.
Review check: the product page displays 4.7/5 from 4,283 reviews. Feedback includes different towel sizes, so this is not 4,283 reviews exclusively of the bath towel.
Trade-off: waffle has less plushness than terry. Onsen’s “half the drying time” statement is a supplier claim; we have not verified it in a tropical bathroom. A 60-day trial is advertised; return postage and original shipping are not refunded.
See the Onsen bath-towel offer ↗Choose this if: you prefer absorbent cotton loops and a smaller bath towel to an oversized bath sheet.
This is medium-weight terry, not an ultralight towel. Its smaller dimensions may suit limited hanging space. Coyuchi describes quick drying; we cannot promise it will dry faster than either waffle towel.
Offer: US$48 for one Stone Blue bath towel before shipping. That exact size and colour were available when checked; the US$148 default on the main page is a six-piece set.
Review check: Nordstrom shows 4.4/5 from 704 reviews across the Air Weight bath range. Feedback includes absorbency and drying praise, alongside complaints about lint, thinning and slower-than-expected drying. Those reviews cover multiple sizes.

Start by comparing Brooklinen and Onsen if you want to move away from bulky terry: both use open waffle construction and have positive customer ratings. Brooklinen publishes 290 GSM; Onsen publishes 470 g for the whole towel. These are different measurements and should not be compared directly. Onsen’s buyer feedback includes drying and freshness reports. Neither guarantees overnight drying in every humid home.
Prefer organic cotton terry? Coyuchi is the smaller cotton-loop alternative. Its drying reviews are mixed, so it is a less clear choice when faster drying is your main goal.
Buy one towel to try where available; the Brooklinen offer contains two. Check returns before washing. Spread the towel fully on a rail and keep it separate from other wet towels. If it still stays damp, address the bathroom’s airflow and humidity too.
